Timing a Mohonk Wedding is Everything
Photographing weddings at Mohonk Mountain House isn’t like anything I do on a normal basis or at a typical wedding, because the wedding day tends to start pretty early there, usually around 7 or 8am, and I love it, because the light is simply perfect, the air is clean and the day is fresh with possibilities. It’s a feeling that can’t be beat!
The morning of her wedding, Jolene was as calm as a cucumber, perfectly relaxed, enjoying the company of close friends and family, playing with her dog while she waited for her hair and make up to be finished. Which if I may say so, I took as a real sign of strength and confidence about her relationship with Tom, because after all, these two love birds waited how long, 6 or 7 years before tying the knot. I waited ten myself!

If I may be candid, here’s the plain and simple truth about Jolene and Tom’s Mohonk Mountain House Wedding, in all my years of photographing weddings, I have never seen a wedding dress as magnificent as Jolene’s, and she wore it perfectly, bringing the dress to life. Stunning! Stunning! Stunning! I was a huge fan of all your details, your hair, dress and shoes were put together with class and sophistication and I loved it. Bravo. And Tom, your smile simply lit up the room. I’m not sire if you realized it, but the smile never left your face, all day long.
