SEO FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS – WHERE ARE THE CUSTOMERS
SEO for photographers has a single goal, which is to help good photographers and good people increase their leads and their sales by getting their business’s product and services in front of a larger audience via the internet, because let’s face it, when was the last time you opened the phone book for anything? So what we’re going to do in part 2 of SEO for Photographers, is we’re going to cover keyword research.
Keyword research is research that will define the combination of words that potential customers are using when they search online specific products or services using their internet browser such as, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc. Once you discovered how people are searching for your businesses services, I’ll show where and how to place them inside your web site and in your blog so that they are effective.
WARNING: Do not jump ahead. Placement of keywords is a refined science and they must be placed strategically inside your web site and your blog in order to have maximum effectiveness. Jumping ahead and splashing key words hear and there without knowing why or where they need to be placed will have a damaging effect to your sites performance within Google’s algorithm. I urge you to follow the steps outlined in SEO for Photographers as we cover them. I am not responsible if you jump ahead screw things up.
So where are the customers and how do we find them? Well that’s simple; we perform keyword research which in case you missed it, is research that will define what combination of words customers are using when they search for specific products and services online; that is step one. Once we know what they are, step two is to put those combination of words into our web sites, blogs and blog posts. Step three is to ask Google to index our site so that when searches are performed, Google returns our web site as a search result.
